Dr. Patrick Ruane (MBBS, BMedSc, FRACGP) is a highly trained General Practitioner specializing in minimally invasive vasectomy procedures and men’s health.

Dr. Ruane received his medical degree from the University of Melbourne and completed an Advanced Diploma in Obstetrics, which included rigorous surgical training that he has utilised over his 15 years of experience in procedural medicine.

He has undergone specific, focused training in the No Scalpel Vasectomy technique and has performed over 3000 vasectomies. He is a passionate advocate for the benefits of family planning and dedicates his time to educating and mentoring other doctors interested in the No Scalpel Vasectomy technique. He believes compassion, respect, and clear communication are the core aspects of his clinical care, ensuring every patient feels informed and comfortable throughout the process.

Dr Patrick Ruane has developed broad experience across general practice, obstetrics and family planning, with a particular interest in procedural medicine and men’s health. After completing his Advanced Diploma in Obstetrics, he gained advanced surgical experience in procedures such as caesarean section and has provided family planning and obstetric care for over 15 years.

His interest in procedural medicine and men’s health led him to seek dedicated training in Scalpel Free Vasectomy, and he is now an experienced vasectomy doctor and strong advocate for family planning options for men and their families.
